Know a Gamecock: Garrett Anderson

As the blog kicks into gear, we’re going to be introducing several features that you’ll see on a regular basis. One of these features will be “Know a Gamecock” where we take a look at a Gamecock student-athlete or coach and ask them 10 questions.

First up is Garrett Anderson, senior center on the football team.  Anderson is from Irmo, S.C. and attended Dutch Fork High School. He is pursuing a degree in management and marketing.

What player do you model your game after…
Shaun O’Hara (center for the NY Giants).  I always pay attention to him and love to see how that whole line works as a unit.

Advice from a parent or coach that has stuck with you…
Give it all you got.

What’s a word or phrase you overuse…
Passion.  You have to have passion in everything you do.

What’s your greatest achievement so far…
Being here.  I grew up a Carolina fan and playing here is all I’ve ever thought about.

Which living person (or people) do you most admire…
My parents.

What’s your greatest fear…
Failure.

If you weren’t playing football, what sport would you play…
Baseball.

Place you have to visit before you die…
Fiji.

What is your most treasured possession…
My cross necklace.

What’s your motto…
Don’t complain.
