The last time they played the Gamecocks…Alabama rolled up 338 yards of rushing offense en route to a 37-14 win in Columbia on Sept. 17, 2005.

Trivia tidbits going into Saturday’s game…

  • Alabama’s defense has held their opponents to under 100 yards rushing in 17 of their last 20 games.
  • Teams have only a 24% conversion rate on third down against the Tide defense.
  • Alabama RB Mark Ingram is one of only three running backs in the country with 10 touchdowns and a 100+ yard rushing per game average this season.
  • The Crimson Tide ranks 7th in the country in time of possession, keeping the ball for an average of 34:08.
  • Cornerback and return specialist Javier Arenas needs 150 yards to be come the SEC’s all-time leader in punt return yardage. He needs 216 yards to break Wes Welker’s NCAA record of 1,761 punt return yards.
